Sign Language and Information Accessibility
About Activity
It is an independent language with its own unique grammatical structure. As an organization led by the deaf community, PARD is committed to providing the best possible access for participants in all activities. Initiatives such as the Sign Language News, Fairy Tale Library, and First Aid Library, where information is transmitted by deaf individuals, have helped provide access to knowledge for the deaf community nationwide. PARD continues to expand into various fields to offer diverse sources of information for the deaf.
Additionally, PARD provides training in sign language analysis for deaf clubs in numerous provinces and cities. Through this, deaf members have the opportunity to discuss and create local signs based on the cultural, geographical, and lifestyle characteristics of their region. These local signs have been widely used by the deaf and hearing communities, including teachers, parents, and interpreters.
