#PARDVietnam, together with Deaf associations from countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and Indonesia, participated in the workshop “Ensuring Access to Sign Language” in Bangkok, Thailand, organized by the World Federation of the Deaf from February 27th to March 1st.
PARD proudly sent two representatives: Ms. Thai Quynh Phuong – Hanoi Deaf Association and Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat – Mekong Deaf Network, to attend the conference and share about the situation of the Deaf community in Vietnam.
The event focused on sharing challenges, progress, best practices, and promoting cooperation among national Deaf associations in Southeast Asia towards the legal recognition of Sign Language.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Nippon Foundation and the World Federation of the Deaf for providing opportunities to amplify the voices of the Deaf community in Vietnam and the region.
